How we handle your data

Most projects start with access to your accounting system or your database. This page says what we ask for, how we keep it, and what happens to it when the project ends.

What we ask for

Read-only access wherever the system allows it. A named account for us rather than a shared login, so you can see what we did and switch it off later. The smallest scope the work needs: a reporting user, not an administrator.

How we handle credentials

Every password and key goes into a password manager, never into email or chat. At handoff we return or revoke what we were given. Ask at any time and we revoke our access the same day.

Where your dashboards and systems run

Power BI dashboards run inside your Microsoft account. A web dashboard or a custom system runs on managed hosting covered by your Support or care plan, or on hosting you choose. Either way your data stays in your database.

What we keep

Working copies of your data exist only while the project runs. We delete them within 30 days of handoff unless you ask us to keep a backup. Nothing about your business appears on this website: case studies name an industry, never a client.

Who owns it

You do. The Power BI files, the database, the code and the documentation are yours, on accounts in your name. Any developer can pick them up later.

How we test

We never test on your live data. Changes go to a separate test copy first, and we restore a backup once before anything goes live.

Security on this site

This site sets no cookies and uses cookieless analytics. The intake form travels over an encrypted connection to our customer system. The privacy policy has the details.

Questions

Email hello@datumetry.com and you get a straight answer, including "we don't know yet" when that is the truth.

Ask us anything about access before you share it.
