Pricing

Three ways we price: a fixed price for defined work, a fixed quote after a paid scoping step for larger builds, and a monthly plan for ongoing work. Nothing is built until you have the price in writing.

How we price

Fixed price

The Starter dashboard and the board pack setup have one price each. You know it before the first call ends.

Fixed quote after scoping

Larger builds, custom tools, forecasts and live data start with a paid scoping step, $250 to $1,500 by revenue, and end with one number in writing. The fee comes off the build within 60 days.

Monthly

The data team plans run month to month with the hours written down. Licences and streaming infrastructure pass through at cost.

Reporting and dashboards

Starter dashboard

$2,500fixed

One dashboard, up to three pages, from up to two data sources. Cleaned, modeled and set to refresh, with one round of changes and a 30-minute walkthrough. About two weeks after we get data access.

Custom BI build

$6,000 to $20,000

Several sources, data pipelines, a proper data model, and dashboards in Power BI or on the web. Quoted fixed after scoping. Three to six weeks.

Board pack

From $3,500setup

The monthly package for your board, bank or investors, pulled and laid out the same way every month and sent on a schedule. Then from $300 a month to keep it running.

Portals and embedded dashboards

From $9,000

A login where customers or vendors see their own numbers, or charts placed inside software you already run. Quoted fixed after scoping.

Custom tools and automation

Single tool

$3,500 to $7,500

A cost calculator, a tracker, a form that posts to QuickBooks. One purpose, a few screens, about a week of build after scoping.

Larger system

$9,000 to $30,000

Several screens and roles, a workflow with approvals, an accounting link, or a new front end on an old system. Quoted fixed after scoping. Three to six weeks.

Forecasts and live data

Forecasts

From $6,000

Sales, stockout or customer-risk forecasts with a range on every figure, backtested against last year. Needs two years of history. Quoted fixed after a scoping step that checks the history first.

Live data

From $12,000

Screens that update as work happens, fed by scanners, point of sale or an API. Quoted fixed after scoping. The streaming infrastructure is billed at cost.

How scoping works

Every build above the Starter starts with a paid scoping step. We map your data and your workflow, then write the plan, the price and the timeline on one page.

The fee is $250 to $1,500 depending on your revenue. Go ahead within 60 days and the full fee comes off the build price.

Changes after approval

Ask for a change in writing and we tell you what it does to the timeline and the cost. You get a short written change order with the price and the schedule, and work starts when you approve it.

Changes bill at $125 an hour, or as a small fixed fee for larger additions. Fixing our own bugs is never a change order.

Licences and pass-through costs

Each person who views a Power BI dashboard needs a Power BI Pro licence from Microsoft, billed per user per month. Microsoft's pricing page has the current rate. A web dashboard has no per-seat fee.

Costs that scale with your use, such as streaming infrastructure or paid API fees, are billed at cost or kept on your own account. No markup.
